1. Non-802.11 and Non-Ethernet wired hotel:
In this situation, the WebOnDemand System is usually made up of several High Power PicoStations (patent pending) in outside temperature controlled enclosures, custom antennas, amplifiers, is usually a non-Ethernet option version and includes wireless security cameras. This option allows us to place the PicoStation (patent pending) on a outside pole or wall, with the only requirement being AC power which is usually on the pole or wall already. All communication to the users and to the network are handled wirelessly. The design of the system takes the hotels height, width, building material, fascia access and user population into account. The system also has our customer portal software to allow customers the means of gaining access to the system. With this system, the entire hotel property including rooms, pool area, bar, lobby, restaurant and meeting rooms will have wireless internet coverage.

2. Non 802.11 but one that does have Ethernet connection:
In this situation, the application usually is needed to provide wireless internet access to open areas such as the pool, restaurant, bar, lobby and meeting rooms. The system for this application is usually the High Power PicoStation (patent pending), Ethernet option, ambient enclosure, has a custom antenna based on the area and coverage and includes wireless security cameras. The system also has our customer portal software to allow customers the means of gaining access to the system. |
3. Hotels with standard 802.11 coverage:
In this situation, the main need is to increase the coverage area beyond the limited capability of the current 802.11 access points. This system increases the coverage in areas such as the pool, and meeting rooms. The usual system for this is just our PicoStation (patent pending), amplifier, a custom antenna and includes wireless security cameras. Usually, our customer portal software is not needed since there is already existing 802.11 sign up software in place. After the initial site survey to develop the design, this is usually just a plug and replace effort to your existing 802.11 Access Points. |
